2019 Ford F-150 Power Stroke Diesel Fuel Efficiency

Truck owners know that most full-sized pickups do not get more than 20 miles per gallon on the highway. They know a diesel engine may come close to getting this number, but this number almost never goes over 20. When they hear how much Ford’s new full-size F 150 power stroke diesel gets, most truck owners experience shock. The engine’s new technology allows it to get up to 30 miles per gallon.

The new fuel mileage lets the truck exceed the Obama administration’s guidelines for fuel efficiency. No one expects Trump to keep this requirements in place, but Trump has not rescinded these guidelines yet. Even without these guidelines, truck owners can appreciate the cost savings they receive from running the Ford F-150 power stroke diesel. While the full-size pickup gets fewer miles per gallon while driving through a city, it still outperforms other vehicles in the same class.
